What should your giveaway achieve?

Think about the result that would be useful to your business. Choose a prize and entry method that support that goal.

Some goals to consider
  • Promote a product: introduce it to people who are likely to use it.
  • Build company awareness: help the right audience discover your name and what you do.
  • Grow your email list: offer a separate, optional marketing signup for people who want to hear from you.
  • Grow your social audience: attract relevant followers who will still be interested after the prize has been won.

What are you giving away?

This builder is for free draws for adults in the UK, with one entry per person and a random winner. Use it for ordinary products or vouchers. Paid entries, purchase conditions, children's promotions, judged contests and regulated prizes need a different brief.

What do giveaway terms need to explain?

Entrants need to know what is on offer and what they must do. Make eligibility and entry limits clear, name the promoter, describe the prize and explain the timetable for choosing, contacting and rewarding the winner.

The long version of your terms is only part of the job. Your initial announcement should also show the conditions that could affect someone’s decision to enter. Use the launch-post output to bring those details into your announcement, then check that it includes every significant restriction for your prize.

How to use your generated draft

  1. Fill in all four sections of the brief. Do not publish unfinished placeholders.
  2. Read the result and check it against the promotion you will actually run.
  3. Resolve any platform cautions or missing details. Get specialist advice for unusual promotions or terms you are unsure about.
  4. Publish the checked terms somewhere entrants can access throughout the promotion, and keep a dated copy.
  5. Link to that page in your launch post and entry form.

This is a drafting aid, not a legal review. It does not produce terms for paid draws, purchase requirements, children, regulated prizes, instant wins or subjective judging. Those need a brief and review suited to the promotion.
