Where to promote your competition: directory submission guide

Find out how to submit a free UK competition to Loquax, The PrizeFinder, Competitions Time and Online Competition. Follow the steps for each site and check its criteria before sending your link.

Before you submit

Use this checklist for one giveaway. Tick items as you complete them.

Where have you submitted this giveaway?

Your checklist is saved only if you choose to remember it. Do not use a tick as proof that a directory has accepted your competition.

Prepare one clear submission brief

Have your giveaway title, full prize description, original entry URL, opening and closing dates, closing time, eligibility, entry instructions and terms link ready. Add a contact email for any questions. The giveaway planner can turn your answers into a directory submission brief.

Submit while there is enough time left for a listing to be reviewed and used. Each directory makes its own editorial decision. A submission is not a guarantee of publication, visitors or entries.

How to submit a competition to The PrizeFinder

  1. Open “Add Competition” and read the listing options.
  2. For a basic listing, choose “Upload your competition as a FREE Listing”.
  3. Enter your name, contact email, prize, category, website name and original entry link.
  4. Add the start date, closing date and time, entry instructions and eligibility restrictions. Check the default options rather than leaving them unchanged.

Only free-to-enter competitions are accepted. Paid placement is separate; no fixed price is assumed here. The form also asks for a link back.

How to submit a competition to Online Competition

  1. Publish your competition with clear entry instructions and accessible terms.
  2. Open the “Submit a competition” page.
  3. Paste the public link to the original organiser’s competition page or social post. Do not include personal access codes or private invitation links.
  4. Choose “Send competition link”. Send one competition per submission.
  5. Wait for consideration alongside the site’s regular research. Avoid sending the same link repeatedly.

The directory considers free competitions open to UK entrants, including website, email, social media and postal entries. It excludes paid entry, required purchases, paid subscriptions, premium-rate calls or texts, gambling, casinos and adult sexual content. A suggestion does not guarantee a listing or immediate review.

Not an organiser submission route

Can you post your own competition on MoneySavingExpert?

No. MSE’s forum team says you cannot post a competition you have a hand in organising, professionally or for a good cause. Do not post through another account or ask someone to disguise a promotional submission.

You can make your giveaway easy to find on your own website and use directories that expressly welcome promoter submissions.

Keep a simple submission log

Record the directory, submission date, link you sent, status and any published listing URL. Check for typos or questions if a site contacts you. Once the giveaway closes, make the original entry page clearly say that entries have ended.

If you are running a genuinely local giveaway, local publications, business groups and community newsletters may be more relevant than national directories. Use their published contact or promotion routes and check their rules first.
